This past week has been quite a busy time for you with your Dadimaa coming in from Belize and your four month check up. You have been greatly enjoying the time spent with Dadimaa. She helps feed and bathe you as well as has a great deal of fun playing with you every day. I am certain that you will miss her when she leaves in a couple weeks. I promise to post a slideshow for you in the coming weeks of her visit.
Your fourth month check-up went very well. Your pediatrician is very pleased at your growth and says that you are either hitting or ahead on your milestones. You have more than doubled your weight and have grown five inches since birth. You also only cried a little when you received your shots.
Daddy and I continue to be very proud of you and love you dearly. You are perfect in our eyes always.
In light of this months shots, life tip #2: Pain is usually only temporary and helps keep life interesting. I know things like shots hurt the moment it happens but the memory of how pain feels fades. Try your best to embrace pain since it is a neccessary component of life: teaching us what should be avoided, communicating when we need to attend to some part of our body, or tells us when we have reached our absolute threshold. Like mistakes, pain helps us grow and learn.
